NZ singing superstar Hayley Westenra has missed out on an award at this year's Classical Brit awards in London.
Westenra was nominated for two of the top awards at the annual event - best female artist of the year and best album for her hit CD Pure, which has sold more than one million copies worldwide.
The prize for best album went to Welsh bass baritone Bryn Terfel and the prize for best female artist went to Italian opera star Cecilia Bartoli.
