It's no surprise this new British classroom drama about the lives and loves of teachers, pupils and parents at Waterloo Rd Comprehensive, is gritty - it's made by the producers of Footballers Wives and Bad Girls. The teachers have given up trying to make a difference - until new headmaster Jack Rimmer takes things on.

LOST
In the penultimate episode of the second series, what happened to Michael after he left to rescue his son Walt is recounted in flashback. Back in the present, the now-treacherous Michael is trying to convince Jack and the castaways to help him rescue the boy from "The Others." Meanwhile, Locke is battling whether to leave the button unpushed and see what happens.

INVASION
The final of the X-Files meets Invasion of the Florida Bodysnatchers sci series that started promisingly but got stuck in its own conspirational swamp - which probably helped its non-renewal for a second series. As the Everglades get hit by another hurricane Sheriff Tom Underlay and Park Ranger Russell Varon mount a rescue of the humans being rounded up by the hybrids. Two humans who suspect Underlay is the cause of the chaos take Larkin, Dave, Jesse and Rose hostage.

PRISON BREAK
Michael's escape plans are thrown into disarray when he is given the news he is to be transferred. Kellerman and Hale keep pushing for his transfer while Michael stalls all he can and it doesn't stop him from trialling the first part of his escape attempt.

BASKETBALL: NEW ZEALAND V AUSTRALIA
First of four games against the Aussies who are bringing an intimidating line-up including their NBA players as they build for the world championships. Tall Blacks coach Tab Baldwin will be relying on old hands such as Pero Cameron, Phil Jones, Mark Dickel, Kirk Penney and Paul Henare.
