WEEDS
The dopest comedy on our screens has the outstanding Mary-Louise Parker in the role of Nancy, a suburban mum who deals cannabis to maintain the facade of the American dream after her husband dies. A second series has already begun airing in the States. Tonight, Heylia is in a spiteful mood, so she forces Nancy to choose between her friendship with Conrad or her supply of weed. Silas confronts Nancy and Shane asks questions.

GREEN WING
This surreal and misanthropic British comedy may be set in a hospital but you won't find Dr Caroline Todd (Tamsin Greig, Black Books) or any of her colleagues having anything to do with patients. No, they're way too busy trying to sort out their self-absorbed lives or competing in games of one-upmanship.
The second series begins with most of the cast emerging from a lift in sparkly costumes and acting as if they are on Star Trek. It's all a figment of the imagination of Caroline's love interest Mac (Julian Rhind-Tutt), who has been lying in a coma for two months since series one, which ended in an ambulance crash.
The staff take advantage of the fact that Mac is unconscious to visit all manner of insults and indecent acts on him. Meanwhile, Joanna (Pippa Haywood) is trying to come to terms with the fact that she accidentally slept with her son. Crikey.
