HOLMES
Why Paul Holmes decided to speak to Celine Dion while in Las Vegas is anyone's guess. The NZ Idol factor, perhaps? We'll forgive him though - matters of taste do tend to become distorted in such garish settings. He also flies to LA where he catches up with Kiwi supermodel and fellow classy lady, Kylie Bax.

BIG LOVE
While Bill seeks protection against the religious compound led by Roman Grant, things heat up between the sister-wives over Margene's overtly sexual behaviour. Roman "The Prophet" asks Bill's father to act as a go-between to deliver a message to his son, and the Hendricksons get together for a family dinner with Bill's business partner and his three wives. WORLD OF STUPID: THE TOKYO SHOCK BOYS
Anyone who has seen this comedy troupe perform will already know this is programmed after dinner for a reason. Like an older, stranger version of Jackass, they are known for hanging from their private parts, inhaling milk and squirting it from their eyes, elevating them to an entirely new level of maturity and intelligence. Need we say more?

SVU
The elite squad of NYPD detectives that make up the Special Victims Unit return for a seventh season. This Emmy-award-winning series opens with Ray Schenkel (guest star Robert Patrick, of Terminator 2 fame, playing yet another psycho) released from jail 20 years after being convicted of raping a teenage girl. Retired officer William Dorsey (guest-star Robert Walden), who had Schenkel locked up, is convinced he will offend again and begs Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) to put him away for good. Stabler poses as a recently paroled sex offender so he can get into the same therapy group as Schenkel. He tries to set Schenkel up but the situation backfires on him, his cover is blown and his life is in danger.

NATIONAL LAMPOON'S HOLIDAY REUNION
Herald rating: *
Less than satisfying, made-for-TV film about two cousins who do not remember each other, but decide to reunite for Thanksgiving dinner. Another story based on National Lampoon's Vacation, but this franchise was overcooked decades ago. Stars Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle) and Judge Reinhold. (2003)
