Apart from a bride and groom exchanging vows on their wedding day, the other (possibly more) important ritual is the bouquet toss.
All the single women are invited to gather and the bride is then given the stressful task of whisking her bouquet over her shoulders, while a bunch of women scream, hoping it lands in their deserving arms.
Why? Because tradition says that whoever catches the bouquet is going to be the next to walk down the aisle.
One woman recently was filmed in her own desperate bid to nab the bouquet, with the video going viral after it was deemed "savage".
The clip begins with the bride standing in front of 11 of her female guests before tossing the bouquet into the air.
The guest standing at the front in a black dress is the first to catch the flowers. But her glory doesn't last long when another woman comes out from behind her and snatches the arrangement out of her hands.
She hangs onto the bouquet, refusing to let go and for a split second the two women are seen both clinging onto the flowers.
Finally, after realising the woman isn't going to give up, the guest who initially caught the flowers lets go.
She can then be seen holding the bouquet up in the air as a form of victory before pointing at her boyfriend. The other guests can be heard sheepishly laughing at her "win".
However, the woman in the black dress who first caught the bouquet didn't look too impressed, tossing her hands in the air before walking off the dance floor.
The video was shared to Reddit on Monday alongside the caption: "Witnessed the most savage bouquet toss I have ever seen yesterday."
It has since attracted more than 90,000 likes and almost 3000 comments from stunned users.
"Black dress was like, 'Exit, stage left. F**k this sh*t'," one person wrote.
"She's pointing to her very unlucky boyfriend. It was seriously the most cringe-worthy thing I have ever seen," said another.
"And then they all awkwardly walked away, including her boyfriend," a third person added.
A fourth person said: "That little dance she did at the end only made it worse."
"The girl who caught it first was wise to just let it go and let the crazy lady have it."
"Upon review, she literally gave her a double 'OK' symbol with her hands LOL and she definitely said exactly what you wrote," another said.
One woman said she believes the "universe knows she really caught it first and has assigned her the true bouquet rights".
"She will marry a good guy and they will find compromise and comfort in their relationship."
Some of the commenters used the moment to share similar experiences with one person explaining how a woman snatched a bride's bouquet off the hands of a four-year-old girl.
"Was pretty awkward for a hot minute," the person wrote.
