A website has scooped pictures of some of the lead actors in the Peter Jackson film Lord of the Rings.
The pictures, to be published in the magazine Vanity Fair, include shots of Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Liv Tyler as Arwen.
Other actors appearing in costume poses include Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn, Elijah Wood as Frodo, Billy Boyd as Pippin and Sean Astin as Sam.
The website posted the pictures on Wednesday. The nine pictures, taken near Hamilton, include captions from the magazine suggesting the film will be a cross between Star Wars and Harry Potter.
The first instalment of the trilogy is due out next year.
