The 1985 pop-rock anthem We Built This City is the worst hit single of all time, says influential music magazine Blender.
Starship's song topped the list of "The 50 Worst Songs Ever" because it "seems to inspire the most virulent feelings of outrage".
The magazine said it disqualified songs such as Macarena and Who Let the Dogs Out because they were cheesy by design.
Instead, it cited the Beatles' Ob-La-Di, Ob-La- Da, REM's Shiny Happy People and even the "freshman-poetry meaningfulness" of Simon and Garfunkel's Sounds of Silence.
