Want to date a celebrity lookalike? There's an app for that

It is no secret that online dating can be hard.

Hours of swiping left and right, only for your Prince or Princess Charming to arrive looking nothing like their photo and bringing with them a whole lot of baggage.

Well, now online dating may have got a whole lot easier with the help of dating site Badoo.

Badoo helps you filter through profiles by appearance, even letting you look up users who resemble your favourite celebrity.

The "lookalike feature" uses technology based on image-matching and takes into account 160 different facial features, from jaw line, to hairline and helps you find your very own "celebrity" love match.

You can also upload your own photos, such as if you aren't quite over your ex and want someone who looks just like them.

But the app doesn't stop at dating, you can even search your own Facebook friends to see who looks most like different celebrities.

The algorithm can be pretty hit or miss, but it's worth a try in finding your very own Gosling.
