Grey Lynn's finest, the Rock, plays Chris Vaughn, a war hero who comes home to the Deep South to find the mill has closed, a casino has opened and kids are addicted to drugs. All three business opportunities are down to Jay Hamilton jnr (Neal McDonough), the rich kid he couldn't stand when they were at high school.
Our hero trashes the casino and makes a powerful speech in his own defence in court. Whereupon he is acquitted, elected sheriff and hitches up the kid he did get along with a high school, Ray Templeton (Johnny Knoxville, Jackass) as his deputy.
There is more, especially in the action department, but by know you should have the picture.
As you might expect, this is boys' toys stuff so there are a whack of extras on the DVD: two commentary tracks, one with the crew and the other with the Rock, a making-of, deleted scenes and bloopers, and photo gallery.
