“Just the idea that she has worked so hard to rebrand herself. And here comes a very respected publication, reiterating some of the nastiest claims about her.
“They’re in a bad place right now.”
Allegations made in the publication included the Duchess behaving like a bully in the work environment.
A source involved in media projects speaking to Vanity Fair said Meghan would become “cold and withholding” towards the person responsible for something going wrong.
The source said it looked like “undermining. It’s talking behind your back. It’s gnawing at your sense of self. Really, like, Mean Girls teenager."
Another allegation reported by Vanity Fair was rumours of A-listers, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion, declining to appear on Meghan’s podcast Archetypes.
However, one source said Meghan Thee Stallion’s team had no knowledge of the request.
Some claims in the article have since been debunked.
The article alleged Meghan’s team was discussing a potential post-divorce book with publishers, while another source reportedly close to the couple indicated they would never break up.
“Meghan and Harry know that they are tied together, their value is in being a couple — even if they wanted to split, they couldn’t. And honestly, they are obsessed with each other. They are just two narcissists," the source told Page Six.
The Vanity Fair article also added: “No offer was ever made, and no manuscript was produced.”
