If you've been holed up inside waiting for the dreary winter months to dissipate, your time is up. Winter is officially over and the live music scene is back in full swing.
Local punk rockers 48May released their new single Nervous Wreck this week and are celebrating with a quick tour of the South Island at the end of the month.
Playing Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Oamaru, it shouldn't be too long before the Hamilton boys head closer to home and rock some North Island shows as well.
Auckland's Kings Arms will be going off on November 9, when Japan's ridiculous-yet-cool rock 'n' roll act Guitar Wolf hits town.
Their slogan, "no skills, no techniques, no subtitles," pretty much sums up these crazy cats. Prepare for some ear-piercingly loud sounds and frenzied dance moves.
For a more laid-back vibe, check out Katchafire during their Australasian-wide Mr Flava Tour.
The crew hit Dunedin's Union Hall tomorrow and will continue to tour for the rest of the year, before finishing up at Gisborne's Rhythm and Vines New Year's eve party.
Finally, Steriogram release their new album This is Not the Target Market on Monday, featuring the single Just Like You.
Kicking off on October 20 at Whakatane's Boiler Room, the boys will embark on 19-stop nationwide tour, wrapping up on Waiheke Island in November.
