You've finally picked up the kids from school, they jump in the car and your first instinct is to ask them: "How was your day?"

However, this often leads to a response no more than a simple "good", "fine" or "OK" ... which doesn't really tell you much as a parent.

Instead, why not try these thought-provoking questions that will help you learn more about what's happening with your kids and may even result in some memorable after school yarns and bonding.
