Sky Television has resurrected the Playboy bunny on its digital network, creating a channel especially for adult movies.
Playboy programmes used to screen on Sky but the broadcaster voluntarily took them off air in 1996 after complaints from the public.
Sky chief executive officer Nate Smith said that Sky had always planned to introduce two pay-per-view channels - one for blockbuster films, the other for adult entertainment.
The adult channel would be soft-core pornography that would be couples-orientated. "It would be like Playboy magazine and it will appeal to both sexes."
Users of the service would have to be 18 and only have access by using a PIN. Users would have to ring up to order an adult movie but in a few months would be able to use their Sky remote to book the service.
