Apple's portable iPod MP3 player remains the most sought-after item on online auction website Trade Me.
iPod holds onto first place with 57,549 searches while its diminutive cousin, iPod Nano, debuts at number 19 with 21,352. These two figures combine to make the iPod family the most popular search items in Trade Me top 20 history.
Items like the iPod have resulted in over 40 per cent of Trade Me's listings now being for new items, a long way removed from it second hand roots.
Fashion label Roxy takes second place with 48,359 searches, bumping local designer Karen Walker down to 4th place with 34,976.
Meanwhile, fascination with a 'Time Machine' auction resulted in 25,414 searches for the device, causing it to debut at number 13. Equally odd were the 26,858 searches simply for "Black", while trampolines bounced up to 12th place with 26,025 searches.
