The announcement of Canada's new Prime Minister, the young, dashing, Justin Trudeau has sparked a reflection on some of the best looking world leaders from history.
From the all-American shine of JFK to the charmingly unconventional appeal of Helen Clark, here are our top eight hottest world leaders from history. In no particular order:
1. John F Kennedy
35th President of the United States
Why he made our list: With his mop of brown hair, the strong jawed, kind-eyed JFK won the hearts of Americans in 1960. It's been said the late president pipped Nixon because he looked better on television - the first time the medium was used for a presidential candidates' debate.
Why he made our list: As 43-year-old Trudeau took over from Stephen Harper, voters took to Twitter to share topless, tousled hair shots of the Liberal Party Leader whose message to Canada was, "We're back."

Relationship status: While his fans shared his muscle man pics, Trudeau posted this intimate shot with his wife to Facebook. The couple have three children.
Why she made our list: De Kirchner's sense of style is impeccable. Her leftist policies are set off by her staunch delivery and sassy wardrobe choices.
Relationship status: Divorced from Néstor Kirchner.
4. Barack Obama
44th President of the United States
Why he made our list: Obama presents himself so well, it's hard not be impressed. His delivery is near perfect in address, and his wide grin and deep laugh can light up a room.
Relationship status: Married to Michelle Obama in 1992, the couple have two daughters.
5. Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck
5th Dragon King of the Kingdom of Bhutan
Why he made our list: As if his brooding face and slicked back hair wasn't enough, this guy happens to be the so-called "Dragon King" of Bhutan. We doubt there's a cooler title in the world, and this guy has the looks to match.
Relationship status: In 2011 the king was married to Jetsun Pema. Their royal wedding was the largest media event in Bhutan's history.
6. Helen Clark
Former Prime Minister of New Zealand and administrator of the United Nations Development Programme
Why she made our list: Clark's good looks are charmingly unconventional. Added to that, she's one of the best Prime Ministers New Zealand's had.
Relationship status: Clark married Peter Davis in 1981.
7. Joseph Kabila
President of the Democratic Republic of Congo
Why he made our list: Kabila's pensive stare, sharp suiting and striking smile make for a winning combo. We're also fans of his sporadic display of a moustache.
Relationship status: Married to Olive Lembe di Sita in 2006 with one child.
8. Portia Simpson-Miller
Prime Minister of Jamaica
Why she made our list: Known to friends as "Sister P" or "Mama P", Simpson does bold colours, she does fist pumps and she knows how to keep evolving her sleek bob.
