Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh is planning to go into the director's chair for a feature film.
During a visit to the 17th annual Seagate Foyle Film Festival in Londonderry, film producer and TV presenter Mark Cousins revealed that the colourful Scottish author was planning to direct a movie after filming finishes on his black comedy Meat Trade, starring Robert Carlyle.
Cousins, who formed 4 Way Productions with Welsh, Carlyle and director Antonia Bird, said the writer would direct a movie called The Man Who Walks.
