You might think that meals with a higher price tag are guaranteed to be better quality but a top chef vehemently disagrees.
Indeed, James Briscione, director of culinary research at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, has revealed there are three specific meals you should steer clear of when dining at a fancy restaurant.
Speaking to Insider, James revealed that you should never order a "fancy" burger, well-done meat or anything with truffles on because they're a complete waste of your money.
Why you should never order a "fancy" burger:
James says that you should never pay over £20 for a burger and claims that if the chef piles 'expensive' ingredients - like luxurious cheeses or truffle shavings - on top of classic burgers, they are just trying to 'steal' your money.
