This is the prequel to The Silence of the Lambs, which was filmed as Manhunter in 1986 by now-famous director Michael Mann (The Insider) and starred CSI's William Petersen. In this version, a series of murders brings damaged-goods FBI agent Will Graham (Ed Norton) out of retirement and on the hunt for a killer called the Tooth Fairy (Ralph Fiennes). Key to his success is the advice from psychopath Dr Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). Way better than Hannibal, but it's still not up there with Lambs. (2002)
