Today's Festival of Europe events

The European Film Festival runs until November 11 at the Force Entertainment Centre, Queen St.

MJ's Restaurant, Viaduct Basin, is hosting a German food and beverage week until Saturday.

Israel Week at the Somerset Grand Metropolis Hotel continues until Saturday.

The Heart of the City Retail Association promotion continues until November 11.

The Restaurant Association promotion, in which hotels in the central city offer European cuisine, continues until the end of the festival.

* The three-week festival, celebrating all things European, finishes on November 18 with a black-tie charity ball. It has been put together by Auckland-based European business associations, trade commissions and consulates to promote and celebrate Europe.
