David Mamet-directed tale of a psychologist (Lindsay Crouse) who tries to help one of her patients to evade a gambling debt. She visits the bar where the debt is owed, and meets Mike (Joe Mantegna), who runs the poker games. He agrees to clear the debt if she will help him in a game by looking for signs such as body language to indicate a player's hand. Sharply written. (1987)
