Rescue dogs Kala and Keira were due to be put down at an Atalanta shelter when a heart-wrenching photograph of the lovable pups saved their lives.
Online animal welfare group Angels Among Us Pet Rescue posted this photo on their Facebook page with the caption: "If no one saves us, someone will take her away from me".
Not surprisingly, the picture couldn't be ignored and less than two hours after the post went up and both dogs were adopted by one man.
