KEY POINTS:
Berlin
Venue: Silo Theatre
Season: Nov 10-Dec 5
There's only one show in town this week, and that's the Silo's end-of-year cabaret featuring Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Andrew Laing and Lana Nesnas as three vocalists in the dark, debauched days of Berlin in the late 1920s-early 30s. MC Paul Barrett will take you to your table - with service - and the singers will envelope you in the music of Kurt Weill, Mischa Spoliansky and Friedrich Hollaender. Directed by John Verryt.
Biscuit & Coffee
Venue: Herald Theatre, Aotea Centre
Season ends: Nov 11
A solo show in which Alex Ellis plays Biscuit and five of her dysfunctional and obsessive java-junkie family, friends and colleagues as they search for the perfect coffee. Written by Ellis' friend Phil Ormsby, the comedy brims with tales of conspiracies, potions and ancient prophecies about the perfect brew.
