Stage Two Productions' Titus Andronicus is about the Roman war on the Goths. Roman general Titus returns triumphant with the trophies of Goth Queen Tamora and her three children. His sacrifice of the oldest child starts a deadly cycle of sadistic revenge. The blackest black comedy. Watch for the pie.
The Ocean Star
Venue: Maidment Theatre Season ends: Oct 21
Shortland Street's Michael Galvin has been polishing this dark comedy for years and at last the ATC is getting behind one of the funniest scripts we've read in ages. Directed by Roy Ward, starring Greg Johnson as the agoraphobic father of Dean O'Gorman and Adam Gardiner. Galvin nails what makes brother hate brother, and son hate father. A must-see.
