It's supposed to unite the office in festive spirit.
But the annual office Secret Santa does not always go to plan, with some people receiving some very questionable gifts.
Disgruntled office workers have taken to social media to share photos of the worst Secret Santa gifts they have ever received, including a box of coal and one used sock.
One man had clearly made enemies at work after being gifted a box of coal during his office secret Santa.
Another was given a card that said a £5 donation had been made in his name to Cambridge Junction.
Others simply failed to grasp the concept of "Secret Santa", with one woman sending out a group chat of who to buy for to her colleagues - giving the game away.
One man, named Kyle, appeared to have forgotten to buy his colleague a gift.
Instead, he gifted a hastily written note that read: "IOU - Kyle".
It also appears that many people are cheapskates when it comes to presents, with one woman receiving an burned copy of an old Taylor Swift album in a used sock.
One person took their gift-giving a step further by taking a not-so-subtle stab at a colleagues weight.
Their gift included a weight loss book for dummies and a measuring tape.
Another passive aggressive present was received by one young woman who was given a book titled How To Be Interesting.
And while a box of chocolates or a bottle of wine might be standard secret Santa gifts, other food, like a single apple, probably won't be appreciated.
Maybe it's lucky that the gifts are given in secret after all.
