He stood at the entrance and shook his fair head like a dog after a bath. God, it was wet! Frustration got the better of him. He shook his fist at the sky.
"You're useless, weather man," he shouted. "Useless, hopeless and dumb!"
Feeling a little better, he entered the room. The sleep-out was cosy; a set of bunks, a couple of two-seater sofas and a Formica table with chairs. The computer was positioned along the back wall, out of the direct light from the windows. He went over to it, drying his hands on his trousers before logging on. There were no e-mail messages in the Inbox, so Peter decided to check out the weather information. He moved into search mode and found 'weather'. Clicking down the list, he read aloud each heading: "Datalogger and weather systems. Ski and snow reports. Hot spots. Coastal forecast." He sighed. Boring! Today's weather forecast still predicted rain over the area later in the day.
