Blast! Peter slunk back up the hall, through the kitchen to the back porch. At least he'd have the computer to himself, he thought, brightening a little. He wasn't supposed to much about on the internet without permission. His parents had these wild ideas about chat-room weirdos trying to corrupt him. However, right now, Peter didn't care. He felt sorry for himself. It wasn't his fault if his parents were too tired to spend time with him.The computer was set up in the one-roomed sleep-out at the back of the section. He and Oliver were each allowed two hours a week on the Net, but that included looking up stuff for homework, so it didn't leave much time to play around. Peter hunched over and ran from the back door to the sleep-out, feet splashing.
