The current fashion trend for skimpy tops means that a wardrobe malfunction is a very real risk, especially during a boozy night out.
But one Scottish woman has gone viral after her halter top didn't just move out of place – it straight up pulled a vanishing act.
In a video shared on TikTok, Glasgow woman Iona Mason shared how her best friend Brooke Ireland had started their night out wearing a cute colourful halter-neck top.
After snapping some photos at home of their outfits, the duo donned jackets to walk to the pub where they were having dinner.
However, when they arrived and Brooke went to take off her jacket, she made the stunning discovery that she was no longer wearing her top.
"When you unzip your puffer and your top's gone," Iona said, with the video showing Brooke with her jacket undone and a pasty emoji over her chest to protect her modesty.
The pair could be seen dissolving into laughter over the situation, with the pub taking pity on Brooke's rather unusual situation by giving her a spare T-shirt.
But the night wasn't over yet: on the way home Iona and Brooke were both stunned to find Brooke's top – which was by now soaked from the rain and looking a little trampled – lying abandoned on the footpath.
Somehow Brooke's top must have come undone while the pair were walking to the pub and slipped off under her puffer coat without her noticing.
Seeing the funny side in the situation, Iona and Brooke did the only thing you should with such a discovery, staging a mini photo shoot with the runaway top.
"When you make it to the restaurant but your clothes don't," Iona captioned the TikTok.
The video, which has since been viewed more than 470,000 times, attracted hundreds of comments from other women who were baffled by the hilarious situation.
"The chaos! I love it! But I need to know how she lost it without realising," one person wrote.
"How did she not notice?" another asked.
"I'm so confused how this happened it's giving me anxiety," another said.
Others said the situation could have been much worse if it wasn't a cold night, with one person commenting: "But imagine if you didn't have your jacket on and it just fell off."
