Homer, Bart and the dysfunctional family that is The Simpsons, the longest-running animated show on television, will live on for at least two more years.
Fox Broadcasting Company has commissioned two more seasons of the hit series, taking it up to the end of its 19th year at the end of the 2007-2008 season.
"The Simpsons is a cultural institution and will celebrate a milestone 400 episodes in May 2007," the network said.
The animated series, featuring the quirky yellow family that wreaks weekly havoc in their fictional hometown of Springfield, debuted on January 14, 1990.
