Here we go again – in 2015 it was that "white/ gold-blue/black" dress that divided the internet, and now there's another optical illusion baffling social media users.
An image of a pair of Louis Vuitton trainers has been doing the rounds online after a Twitter user asked the question: "Are these white or black because all I see is white?"
It sparked a fierce debate, with hundreds of people arguing over what colour they see, news.com.au reports.
What do you see?
"I don't know how anyone is seeing anything other than black," one user wrote.
"I could only see black and couldn't figure out how they were possibly white, but now I see white and I can't see black anymore wtf," wrote another person.
"White is the only right answer," a third person added.
So what's the verdict?
One Twitter user came up with the simple explanation they are white shoes with a glow-in-the-dark pattern.
"Picture taken with the lights off," the person said, while a second added, "They're white in a dark room."
A third agreed, saying they're "just white trainers in the dark".
"I don't get why people are confused."
A further commented: "They're white. Just no light."
But others put what commenters saw down to the brightness of their phones when looking at the image.
"I reckon they're white but the brightness is turned down and the Louis Vuitton pattern is tricking your eyes. But at first glance I saw black," one person explained, with a second person saying, "Just change the brightness and you can tell they're white."
A third person agreed, saying the brightness level of their phone affects the colour they see.
"I usually have it quite dark so I see black, if I turn my brightness up to full then I can just about make it as a dirty white."
However, those who could see black were adamant it was the correct colour of the designer pair.
"Black with white patterns," wrote one, while a second said: "Fully black for me with White LV logo."
It's likely to be a never-ending debate just like the two-toned dress that sparked a frenzy back in 2015 and still has people arguing over its colour – white and gold or blue and black.
A picture of the The Roman Originals dress sold online in the UK at the time was first posted on Tumblr by Caitlin McNeill, a 21-year-old aspiring singer from Scotland.
She put the question to social media users after she and her friends saw different colours in the image.
It went viral in no time, with people arguing over the dress's original colours.
Even celebrities weighed in on the fashion debate, with Kim Kardashian asking her 29.4 million Twitter followers to help settle a disagreement between herself and husband Kanye West.
