I guess it's proof we live in a small country when we feel proud of or even interested in the fact that a Famous Writer from Overseas is interested in our writers, or even just one of them.
Jim Crace, winner (twice) of the Whitbread Prize, the E.M. Forster Award, the National Book Critics Circle award as well as having been shortlisted for the Booker, cites Chemistry by Damien Wilkins (pictured) as being on his list for pleasurable summer reading.
