"Don't be such an idiot, David," snapped Bernadette, grabbing the book from the bunk. "Anyway, this is my book. I'm the one who found it."
She studied the title - "Island of the Gulls: A History of Errin Island". "This book is amazing. It's hard to geta history of such a small and isolated place."
"That was a strange bookshop. I don't know why they call it 'Donahue's Second-Hand Emporium'. It's just a fancy name for the Williams Bay junk shop." David wrinkled his nose. "And did you see that guy who kept glaring at us from the back room? What a weirdo."
Bernadette smoothed down the tattered dust jacket and opened the book.
"Hey, David! Here's a chapter on Sanctuary Bay. That's where we're going tomorrow." She began to flick through the pages, before coming to an abrupt halt.
