The Royal Palace is hiring! Start drafting those cute Instagram captions because the Queen is after a social media guru.
Hundreds of arts and communications graduates have just pocketed their university degrees across Australia. And in this current climate, maybe they would have better luck throwing their hat in the ring for a role with Her Majesty, reports news.com.au.
The Royal Household has advertised for the position of Digital Communications Officer paying about £30,000 ($NZ58,489) a year, depending on your experience.
It is a permanent role and is Monday to Friday, so you'll be able to cash in one those cheap Ryanair flights each weekend.
"It's knowing your content will be viewed by millions," the ad says.
"It's finding new ways to maintain The Queen's presence in the public eye and on the world stage. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional."
You'll be working with a small team in Buckingham Palace creating content for social media platforms. The Palace also has a new website so you'll be working on that and writing articles.
The successful applicant will also get 33 days of annual leave including bank holidays, a 15 per cent employer contribution super scheme after six months, access to training and development and — "free lunch", according to the ad.
"Whether you're covering a state visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you'll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences," it says.
"With an eye to the future, you'll help hone and shape our digital communications through analytics, monitoring and exploring new technologies."
Is this job for you?
The Palace is after someone with a degree level education with experience running websites and digital communications projects.
"With experience of creating and publishing digital and social media content, you'll be confident using a range of content management systems, social media platforms and analytics tools. What's more, you'll know how to maximise their benefits and minimise risks," the ad says.
"Abreast of the latest digital communication developments, you'll put forward and support new ideas to increase our presence on social platforms.
"Innovative and with creative flair, you'll also have accurate and compelling written and editorial skills, with expertise in designing digital content for different audience groups, purpose and formats."
