As Hollywood's ultimate parade of A-listers in glittering couture, The Oscars is as much about the winners on the red carpet as it is about the acting accolades that follow.
While you may have enjoyed the style standouts from the BAFTAs, the Grammys and the Golden Globes, consider those mere practice runs for The Academy Awards red carpet.
Now in its 91st year, here are the best dressed stars of The Oscars 2019 as they arrive:
Theron is commanding on the carpet in this seriously stunning baby blue backless gown. The actress debuted a new dark bob off set by an orange lip and some impressive bling around her neck.
Lady Gaga
The always highly anticipated Lady Gaga has arrived wearing Alexander McQueen. Taking old Hollywood glamour and giving it a typically Gaga twist the classic black strapless gown is punctuated by unusual pointed hips. Sporting long black satin gloves and a large diamond pendant necklace, the Best Actress nominee is certainly dressed for a star turn on the stage tonight.
Glenn Close
Glenn Close appears to be channelling the trophy she may finally win. Draped in gold, the star of The Wife paired her dazzling sequin gown with a gold clutch and old Hollywood waves.
Emma Stone
Emma Stone takes on seriously structured shoulders in this bronze sequin number. While she doesn't appear to be having much fun in the stiff gown, we can't help but smile about her Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in The Favourite.
Up for Best Actress for Can You Ever Forgive Me, McCarthy is certainly a winner on the carpet in this fierce tuxedo-style look with silk cape.
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk
It's a big night for Best Actor nominee Bradley Cooper. And his wife Irina Shayk looks every bit the leading lady as she stands alongside her leading man. Irina is wearing a gold metal fringe belt on her backless dress while Bradley kept it simple in a black tuxedo.
Emilia Clarke
The mother of dragons has arrived looking regal in shimmering lavender. Sporting a slick crop to complement the architectural structure of her dress, her rosy cheeks work perfectly to soften the look.
Marie Kondo
A joyful surprise on the red carpet, Marie Kondo is pretty in pink as she arrives at the Oscars. The Tidying Up star wore a cap sleeved gown with delicate sequin embellishments. Ever the minimalist, Kondo chose a simple pair of cluster earrings and teamed the look with a tidy bun.
Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet
It appears Momoa and his wife Lisa Bonet are a perfect pair on the carpet and in real life. The couple wore matching shades of blush pink. The Aquaman star took on a bold velvet suit with black "racing stripes" down the sides. Perfection!
Kiki Lane
Kiki Layne nailed her Oscar's debut wearing what looks to be the colour of the night. She stuns in floor length baby pink gown with asymmetric detail on the neckline and a large, glamorous bow tied on the back of her shoulder.
Amy Adams
Amy Adams is also dressed to win tonight. Poured into this heavily embellished silver gown with a sweetheart neckline, the Vice star's soft waves set off the look with an air of casual confidence.
Olivia Colman
Rocking a big grin, Colman exudes British cool-girl glamour in this sleeveless Prada turtle neck in deep green. In the running for Best Actress for her lead role in The Favourite, the Golden Globe winner is already a big star tonight, all wrapped up in Swarovski crystal sparkles.
Kacey Musgraves
Kacey Musgraves is redefining the definition of frou-frou in this very pink, very frilly ensemble. Reminding us of candy floss, Musgraves is the first of what appears to be a bit of a trend on this year's carpet.
Ashley Graham
Ashley Graham channels old Hollywood glamour in a black mermaid silhouette dress, complete with vintage diamonds and a sleek up-do. The model topped off her look with a cluster of delicate hair bows and a smoky eye.
Turning heads as she floats down the carpet like a cloud of majestic magenta, Gemma Chan is hard to miss in this glamorous hot pink dress by Valentino.
Billy Porter
Challenging the traditionally gender-defined Hollywood dress code, Billy Porter has ditched the typical tuxedo in favour of a black velvet Christian Siriano dress and matching bolero jacket.
Constance Wu
Channeling Belle from Beauty and the Beast in vibrant yellow Versace tulle, Constance Wu twirled down the carpet with her dangling earrings and slicked back ponytail spinning along behind her.
Jennifer Lopez
JLo has done it again, in this full length, long sleeved metallic gown. The Tom Ford dress is made of a mesmerising mirror mosaic and, because there's no such thing as OTT for this enduring star, is complimented by jewellery to match.
Rachel Weisz
British actress Rachel Weisz, nominated for best supporting actress in The Favourite, has hit the red carpet in a plastic fantastic tangerine number, a fashion-forward choice for the often demurely dressed star.
Helen Mirren
Helen Mirren clearly got the "at the Oscars, we wear pink" memo in this v-neck number. The actress looked every bit the Dame in a diamond necklace, diamond bracelet and statement diamond earrings.
Regina King pulled of the thigh-high look with pure class. Her white gown, cinched at the waist, is a perfect fit and complemented by simple white pumps and dazzling diamond bracelet.
Henry Golding
Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding is old-school dashing in a classic black tux topped with a white bow tie and shirt.
Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton
Bohemian Rhapsody's real-life couple have shown up in style and look prepared to win big. Boynton rocks a unique shade of purple, while Rami is dapper in black, letting his lady shine.
