The creepy lollipop that lets you lick your own face

Sweet lovers can now rejoice in buying a giant lollipop that looks exactly like their very own head.

The life-size lollipops, which are around 35cm tall, 12cm wide, and 3cm thick, are all made and moulded by hand by expert candy-makers.

A photograph and brief description of yourself, or a friend, is all that's needed to have your face immortalised in sweet form.

Currently not available in New Zealand, each Face Licker lollipop is tutti-frutti flavoured and completely bespoke.

On average, the Face Licker lollipops take up to a week to be made from scratch by London-based producers of handmade confectionery, Spun.

The lollipop is made to look as much as the person in the submitted photograph as possible, through the medium of candy.

Alison Paterson, buyer and head of personalised at gifts retailer Firebox.com, which is selling the sweets, said: "Each lollipop is bespoke. They're made from scratch and handcrafted by master sugarsmiths in order to get each and every detail spot on.

"We ask for a description as well as a photograph in order to truly capture each person's likeness in the lollipop.

"It helps our sugarsmiths tailor each handmade lollipop perfectly.

"It takes roughly between five to seven days to make a Face Licker lollipop, which are around the same size as an actual face."

Because who wouldn't want to take a bite out of their own delicious face?
