Any gaps in The Natural World of New Zealand relating to fish are filled by another local reference title, this time from Palmerston North's Unlimited Realities. The Coastal Creatures of New Zealand is more specific in its content, dealing with the sometimes strange inhabitants of the intertidal zone.

Snapper figure prominently. Did you know that all snapper are born as females but some change sex when they reach four years?

Coastal Creatures seems to have about the same volume of content as The Natural World, which makes the price difference interesting.
