By ELIZABETH PULFORD
But then, from behind the kitchen door, a spooky shadow stretched in the dim light from the hall. It looked like a horrible black monster with dripping fangs and razor-sharp claws. And it was slinking silently along the wall, like a monster, straight towards Abbey's back!
Next moment, before Abbey knew what was happening, the black monster had pounced on to Angel Gabriel's beautiful glittering wings, and clung there like a fur cape with glass eyes.
Abbey screamed so loud that it almost blew out the Christmas tree lights.
'AHHHHEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH.'
Mum raced into the hall from the kitchen, her face white. 'Whatever's the matter?'
'What on earth's happening?' bellowed Dad, running in from the garage. 'It sounds like a horror movie.'
