By ELIZABETH PULFORD
Abbey giggled. 'Can I go and look at myself now?'
'Yes,' said Mum.
Abbey went to the big mirror at the end of the hall and gazed at herself.
'Oh,' she breathed. 'I'm a real angel.' The stuff Mum had rubbed on her cheeks made them glitter and shine, like glints of silver sand. And her lips were the same bright colour as Grandma's red tulips.
Abbey twirled around and around.
Her feet felt as if they were flying.
Tonight she would be the best Angel Gabriel ever. She would make Miss Jones, her teacher, really proud. And Mum and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa and the twins.
