Texas man stuck in ATM slides 'help me' notes to bystanders

A man got stuck inside a Bank of America ATM.

A man who got stuck in an ATM slid "help me" notes through the receipt slot but many people ignored him thinking they were on a hidden camera show.

KRIS6 reports that the Texas man, who has not been named, was fixing a lock in a room behind the Bank of America ATM when he accidentally locked himself in.

Having left his mobile phone in his truck, the man was forced to write notes and slip them out the receipt slot.

"Please Help. I'm stuck in here, and I don't have my phone. Please call my boss," one note read.

One of the notes the contractor wrote seeking help.

However, many people thought it was a practical joke and ignored them.

One customer did make a call to the man's employers, who in turn called the police.

However, even the police thought it was a joke.

Corpus Christi police officer Richard Olden, told KrisTV, after more than two hours trapped inside the ATM room, police kicked down the door and freed the contractor.

"Everyone is okay, but you will never see this in your life, that somebody was stuck in the ATM, it was just crazy," Olden said.
