Australian entertainer Rove McManus will be there, as will former McLeod's Daughter Lisa Chappell, but the Qantas Television Awards are all about New Zealand talent.
A record 460 entries were whittled down to 87 finalists at this morning's announcement, made by award presenters Dominic Bowden and Petra Bagust.
The award ceremony will be broadcast on TV3 next month on Saturday, November 18.
Standout programmes include The Insider's Guide to Love, which was a finalist in ten categories, along with TV3 drama's Doves of War and Outrageous Fortune, which claimed six and four finalist nominations respectively.
CanWest New Zealand Chief Executive Brent Impey said the event was an opportunity to celebrate the success of local shows on television.
"In our case, Outrageous Fortune, Bro'Town and Downsize Me are really fundamental to our channel and we're very happy to celebrate it," said Mr Impey.
Last year's Best Actress in a TV Drama and Favourite New Zealand Female Personality awards winner Robyn Malcolm was at this morning's announcement, where she was again nominated for her role as Cheryl West on the drama series Outrageous Fortune.
"It's great," said Malcolm of her nomination. "The main things is it means the show's still doing well, which means we've still got work."
Finalists in 29 categories were announced this morning, with TV One's One News claiming a massive 19 finalist nominations.
While TV One and TV3 dominated the finalists' list, Maori Television got a look in for its Anzac Day special Na Ratou Mo Tatou - They Did it For Us, claiming its sole nomination.
An additional four awards will be passed out on the night, as voted by the public in the Woman's Day Readers' Choice Awards.
Voting will be open over the next four weeks to determine Favourite New Zealand Male Personality, Favourite New Zealand Female Personality, Favourite New Zealand Television Show and Favourite International Show.
