Teachers share the most bizarre complaints from parents

They say teaching is a vocation and that it takes great patience to handle a classroom of potentially unruly children every day.

However, some educators seemingly have more trouble dealing with the parents of their charges than they do with controlling a room full of boisterous six-year-olds or surly teenagers.

Teachers have taken to Reddit to reveal the most outrageous complaints and demands they've ever received from parents, including one who threatened to pull her daughter from school if she didn't get a starring role in the Christmas concert.

Parents who are outraged when their children don't get good results was a common theme, such as one mother who agreed that her son had answered most exam questions incorrectly but believed the teacher could have "cut him some slack".

And some parents seem to disagree with discipline, such as the individual complained when their child was not rewarded with a lollipop after spitting on another child.

One teacher was blamed for rain on a school trip and was told the child would never have been allowed to go if they'd known of the mere possibility of precipitation.

Bizarrely, one teacher was chastised for speaking too much in French despite the fact they were teaching the language.

One of the most bizarre accounts was a parent who wanted their child's teacher to deal with the fact they'd overheard swear words - from a complete stranger outside of the school grounds.
