One of the few Thai restaurants to deliver near us, Soul Thai has home delivery down pat. They keep a record of your number so that after the first time you've called, they have your details on file. The order was taken quickly, confirmed, and an estimate of delivery time given (40 minutes). The whole seamless operation took less than a few minutes.
Out
We got home delivery so had absolutely no trouble parking. If you do pick-up, there is street parking (or you could sneak into the Countdown car park which is a couple of doors away). Our order arrived one minute before scheduled, so there.
The takeaway
We've ordered from Soul Thai probably a half dozen times over the past few years. Sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's very good and sometimes -- like tonight -- it's not really very good at all. We'd chosen two appetisers: the salt and pepper squid ($9.50) and the chilli and lime chicken wings, ($10.50).
The chicken was tender and moist with a hit of lime but the squid tasted like squid would taste if KFC did a line in it: overly processed. We split a main course of a prawn red curry with veges ($19.90). For almost $20, you'd expect more than four prawns right? Our verdict: mean and bland. Perhaps they were just having a bad night, but then, that meant we were too.
