Rachel Hunter has put her home in Hollywood Hills West on the market for a little under $5 million USD.

Kiwi supermodel Rachel Hunter has put her Hollywood home on the market.

The five bedroom and five bathroom house in Hollywood Hills West is listed on US real estate company Compass for US$4,999,999, ($6.9m) the Los Angeles Times reported.

It's described on its website as an "updated" 1930s English country home just above the Sunset Strip and famed Chateau Marmont.

Private and gated, the property boasts 5000 square feet (465sq m) of living space on a 12,000+ square feet (1115sq m) "useable lot" with a secluded pool and spa.

"Newer eat-in country kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dining room and expansive living room both with fireplaces and French doors for indoor/outdoor living.

"Master with fireplace, loggia balcony with city views and gorgeous bathroom with huge steam shower and bath," the listing stated.

It also has large walk-in closets and a shoe closet.

Hunter's agent Andy Haden confirmed to the Herald that the home, which she brought in 2004, was on the market.

This isn't the first time Hunter has tried to sell her home.

In 2007, the supermodel listed the house for US$2,995,000.
