Swimwear label promotes the 'upside down' bikini trend

This trend can be traced back to Italian model, Valentina Fradegrada, who tied the halter neck straps of her bikini across her chest, revealing more cleavage than was possible before.

Since then, dedicated followers of fashion have given the trend a go.

Some Instagram stars literally turn their bikinis upside down to achieve the look.

Not everyone is rushing to copy the look, with many Instagram users pointing out how impractical the style is.

'HAHAHA my boobs would fall into the hole,' one said.

'Nope', 'solid nope', and 'no' was the most popular refrain.

Meanwhile, Fradegrada is confident she's on to a winner and has already started a new Instagram page to showcase the style.
