More than 250 young musicians will converge on Oamaru tomorrow for the 17th New Zealand Suzuki Institute South Island camp.
Institute vice-chairman Felicity Wooding said there would be 253 people taking part in the Suzuki camp at Waitaki Boys' High School, with the majority staying on-site until Sunday.
The participants, including a family from the United States, range in age from very young children to older teenagers.
Teachers were sourced from Australia, Auckland, and throughout the South Island.
The music camp begins tomorrow afternoon and concludes with a public concert in Waitaki Boys' auditorium at 2pm on Sunday.
