Footage of a sushi model attacking a customer has gone viral on Chinese social media.
A video of a model has gone viral after a customer allegedly assaulted her with his chopsticks as she lay on a table covered in sushi.
The incident took place in a Chinese sushi restaurant, where guests are encouraged to pick fresh sushi off nearly naked sushi models, using chopsticks.
The South China Morning Post allege that the model launched her attack on the customer after he touched her inappropriately as he removed sushi from her body.
The model has claimed the man did "unspeakable things" to her with the chopsticks and footage shows her sitting up and arguing with a man before throwing sushi at him.
The woman then climbs down from the table and throws plates at the man who looks to be shouting back at the model.
The practice of displaying sushi on a woman's body is called nyotaimori and originated in Japan during the Samurai period.
Many say the practice is cruel and objectifying as the nearly naked model is expected to remain still at all times and not talk, move or interact with guests as she takes on the role of a human plate.
