Overnight, Brandon Routh has gone from just another struggling actor in Hollywood to a superhero, landing the role of mild-mannered Clark Kent and his caped alter ego in Superman Returns.
Routh, 26, is gearing up for the whirlwind of attention that will make him one of the most recognisable faces on the big screen, much as was another unknown - Christopher Reeve - after he debuted in the role of Superman in 1978, the year before Routh was born.
