Miriam Roberts launched womensphonebook.co.nz in 2007, an online service that aims to connect women to credible services and businesses by the use of recommendations.
Since then the website has evolved, and last week she launched another - getmeonline.co.nz. Roberts explains she realised, "business owners need more than just a platform, a lot of businesses face the struggle of limited advertising budgets and general lack of know-how about the intricacies of how the internet works".
As well as a penchant for all things online, Roberts loves fashion - her many favourite designers include Costume National "for their footwear", Alannah Hill "for feminine colours and fabrics" and local label Stolen Girlfriends Club. "I love their sophisticated rock star look."
She tells us more about her style.
How would you describe your style?
Others would probably describe me as bohemian. I like feminine-styled, flowing pieces - but I like a bit of leather, as well. Both hard and soft in almost everything I do, in and outside of fashion.
What are you wearing right now?
A black dress from Witchery, suede boots from David Elman and a skull and bead necklace from Stolen Girlfriends Club.
What was the last item of clothing you bought?
The new leather tights from Moochi.
Who or what inspires you, sartorially?
Kate Moss. She's a natural rock star - doesn't even have to brush her hair but still looks amazing.
Your favourite accessory?
My lemon quartz dress ring.
Your favourite shop?
I love shopping. In Auckland, Superette in Newmarket, The Department Store for a great range of brands all in one place, and Mei Mei on Ponsonby Rd for beautiful boots and shoes.
What is your favourite decade, style-wise?
The 70s. I was born in the decade and I'm still prone to a bit of it.
Your best beauty tip?
The finishing touches: nails, hair and an even tan.
How do you define the word "fashionable", what does it mean to you?
To me fashion is a way to express on the outside who you are and how you want to be perceived. It tells you a lot about a person.
Whose wardrobe would you most like to raid?
Kate Moss, Nicky Hilton, Angelina Jolie, Sienna Miller, Victoria Beckham... the list goes on.
Is there anything you'd never wear?
Puffball skirts, high-waisted jeans, leg warmers...
What do you wear to work?
Usually a dress and heels in summer or in winter a lot of jeans/leggings, high boots and long jackets.
Best sartorial advice you ever had?
I don't remember receiving any.
Best sartorial advice to pass down to your own daughter/son?
Discover your style, always be well-groomed and take pride in your appearance - it will provide you with more opportunities.
Tell me about your most cherished item?
A pounamu passed down from my mother when she died.
Favourite fashion-y movie, or fashion moment in film?
Coco Avant Chanel.
Describe the best outfit you've ever worn.
My wedding dress - white leather and lace made by Liz Mitchell, worn with white vintage boots.
