Netflix's Stranger Things has been the TV show of the season, and seeing as the 80's sci-fi thriller has monsters and fake trickling blood as well as Gucci-esque pussy bow blouses, it's no surprise that it is tipped to be the key Halloween style inspiration of the year.
According to fashion site Lyst, Eleven is set to be the most popular Halloween costume this year, as a pink Peter Pan collar dress by ASOS was viewed once every 3 minutes on the site last week.
This isn't a coincidence it seems, as 80 per cent of those who searched "pink collar dress" within these seven days also searched for "tube socks", which have seen a 34 per cent increase in sales over the past month. The Eleven effect isn't just limited to sporty socks, as there has also been a spike in searches for her signature bomber jackets, with a similar style from ASOS seeing a 89 per cent increase in views this month.
To dress up as Eleven you'll need a sugary pink dress, sporty tube socks and a blonde wig. To really nail this costume we advise using a box of waffles as your clutch bag for the night, and of course you'll also need some fake blood to create Eleven's telepathy nose bleeds.
