Porn star Stormy Daniels has been photographed by Annie Leibovitz in a designer gown for the pages of Vogue magazine, where she details her alleged affair with Donald Trump.
When Stormy Daniels, a quiet Southern girl turned porn star, came forward about her alleged affair with US President Donald Trump, nobody expected her to grace the pages of Vogue as a symbol of the resistance — least of all Daniels herself.
"When I started this, I just wanted to save my own ass," she said in Vogue profile for the October issue, "not everybody else's."
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, spoke to the fashion bible at length about taking on the most powerful man in America and how it has changed her life.
An accompanying portrait taken by iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz, shows the porn star and stripper in a last season Zac Posen cap mermaid gown worth thousands of dollars.
In the raw, honest and often times funny interview, Daniels opened up about the terrifying threats which have left her and her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, scared for their lives.
Referring to herself as a "fugitive", Daniels said the death threats, ominous packages and stalking has forced her to hire three full-time bodyguards.
"We've had people put notes under the door, which means they know what hotel I'm in, which means we've had to change hotels in the middle of the night."
But for all pro-Trump white male fans she has lost, she has gained two-fold in fierce female fans.

"It's pretty much these packs of women, and they are angry … People come up and they're so emotional and they put so much on me. They're like, 'You're going to save the world, you're a patriot, you're a hero.'"
Daniels, who received $US130,000 from Mr Trump's longtime personal lawyer Michael Cohen to prevent her from going public with allegations of a 2006 extramarital affair with the president, has become an unlikely key figure in the fight against Mr Trump and the growing number of scandals tallying up against the president.
And, of course, speaking of the infamous tryst with the US president, back when he was a reality television star on The Apprentice, Daniels joked: "How many details can you really give about two minutes?" then: "Maybe. I'm being generous."
