Stones rumour rolls faster

The rumour of a Rolling Stones New Zealand tour is still going strong and it seems likely that, yes, the band is heading here some time in April, possibly Easter - which would coincide with the timing of their last visit here nearly a decade ago on their Voodoo Lounge tour.

The band have confirmed dates in Japan until early April and will be in Europe in May. That leaves a gap large enough for the long-mooted Australasian dates, which are likely to include Western Springs and possibly another major New Zealand venue.

An announcement is expected as early as Monday, so Stones fans should have their credit cards at the ready.
